A Palestinian-American writer and human rights activist in addition to her specialty in biology and neuroscience, Suzanne Abu Al-Hawa is the author of the acclaimed 2010 novel “Mornings in Jenin”, and the founder of the NGO “Playgrounds for Palestine”, established in 2001 to create playgrounds and provide creative spaces for Palestinian refugees everywhere. Abu Al-Hawa has published several novels, articles, and political commentaries in international periodicals.
