COMMUNITY
As part of its ongoing commitment to community engagement and social responsibility, the 20th edition of Spring of Culture 2026 continues to prioritize programmes that serve the local community and support people of determination. The festival’s Outreach Programme is designed to provide meaningful educational and creative opportunities through collaborations with key governmental and social institutions, including the Ministry of Education, National Bank of Bahrain Rehabilitation Home for Disabled Children, and the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) and more.
The Spring of Culture 2026 Outreach Programme launches with a specialized professional workshop held in collaboration with the National Bank of Bahrain Rehabilitation Home for Disabled Children. Titled “Artificial Intelligence–Driven Transformation in Behavioural Therapies for People of Determination,” the training is led by Dr. Fatima Marhoon. This workshop explores the integration of artificial intelligence in behavioural therapy practices, equipping specialists and caregivers with contemporary tools and knowledge to enhance therapeutic outcomes and improve the quality of care provided to individuals with disabilities.
In partnership with the Ministry of Education, the programme also presents the Scenography Workshop for the Ministry’s Theatre, a scenography workshop designed for the ministry’s theatre groups. The workshop introduces students to the fundamentals of theatrical scenography, including stage design, visual composition, and creative storytelling, while fostering artistic expression, teamwork, and creative confidence within the school theatre environment.
The Community Programme also includes a unique experience for children, featuring a Laughter Yoga session led by the renowned Lebanese actor Wissam Sabbagh. This interactive workshop aims to bring joy and positive energy to children from the orphanage and the National Bank of Bahrain Rehabilitation Home for Disabled Children through guided laughter exercises and mindfulness techniques, promoting their psychological well-being while providing a fun and impactful experience.
Through these initiatives, Spring of Culture 2026 reaffirms its commitment to inclusivity, education, and cultural development, marking its 20th edition with programmes that create lasting social and creative impact.
