This literary evening offers an intimate encounter with Egyptian poet and writer Farouk Goweda, one of the leading voices in contemporary Arabic poetry. Writing across a range of forms, from classical verse to poetic theatre, his work reflects a rich and sustained literary practice. Born in Kafr El-Sheikh and raised in Beheira, Goweda has published twenty books, including poetry collections and poetic plays. His work has been translated into English, French, Chinese, and Yugoslavian, and has been widely studied in Egyptian and Arab universities.
