Dar Al Budaiya Al Janoubiya was established in 1973, bringing together various forms of Bahraini folk music which reflect the diversity of people who have inhabited the island throughout history. Ardha and Samri performances, vocal art, and other classic Bahraini arts are all the result of rich musical heritage. Dar Al Budaiya is located in the south of Budaiya village, led initially by the late artist Jawhar Mubarak Al Dosari, and later continued by his son, Mubarak Jawhar Al Dosari.
