Italian architect Maura Franciosa and Emirati architect Saif Al Sayed present the exhibition Two Architects, Two Visions. Maura’s artworks mostly in whites, expresses her inner energy through using her hands on the canvas providing the medium between inner emotions and physical reality. Dhows are the subject of Saif’s artworks, influenced by his grandfather, a Bahraini pearl merchant. His paintings portraits tradition in a modern way by using new techniques that include photography, graphic design and painting all on one surface. He links back to that, Bahrain, which he finds floating in his memory though without much experience, as if inherited through DNA from his grandfather.
